We are thinking about buying a home in Hawaii but heard you can never own the land, only lease it. Can someone please explain this to me. What happens when we pass away, can we will the property away or what happens to the land/house? Please someone help, is it worth it to buy in Hawaii?
I think you can buy the land too; leasing is just a common choice due to the price.

I am considering Hawaii vacation & comparing options for around 8-10 days. What is the best way to enjoy with family & kids, do most of the sightseeing & cost effective….
The first time visiting Hawaii a cruise is good because you can see 3 or 4 islands & pick where you would like to stay next time. Saves a lot of time packing, unpacking, going to the airport, waiting for security, check in, check out etc.. Then again you can just stay in Napili Bay on the beach & use a hotel or condo as your home base. Condo’s are much more cost effective having a kitchen/refrigerator in your room. You can pack lunches to take with during the day & nothing like sunset BBQ on the beach watching a Hawaiian Sunset. http://www.napilikai.com/

lots of coupon books in Hawaii you can save hundreds of dollars if you look. Many 2 for 1 meals/dinners.
a family of 6. Our kids will be 12, 9, 6, and nearly 2. I am thinking Disneyland isn’t so good for the 2 year old. We want to go in October, before her second birthday, so it doesn’t cost us to fly her. Any suggestions? What have you done? Cuba? Dominican. We are open. Money is a factor. Thanks for your ideas.
Disney is not the best place to go for the two year old. one reason is that there is not many rides that she can get on(at magic kingdom, anyway i did not see many) and there is A LOT of walking as well as long lines (i had to wait 1 1/2 hr) and honestly taking a stroller is a lot of work because you have to leave it at the entrance to every ride. I personally loved the dominican republic. However, and i am being honest stick to the resort. The resorts are wonderful, they are all inclusive and most of them are beach side resorts so you have quick access to the beach. The resort i went to was literally a 3 minute walk to the beach and the pool. Also the bar was free and overall it is just a wonderful experience. They even have events sponsored by the hotel for every member of the family. There was a kids concert where they invited kids of every age on stage and they did a dance as well as a Bonn fire and they had a bbq on the beach which was absolutely gorgeous! I would definitely recommend anyone to go there. One of the best experiences of my short life!
